This release adds recent files to document search, restores task checkbox toggles in Read Mode, and reduces idle memory usage.
Added
- Reopen recent documents from Search for Document. Press ⇧⌘O to see up to 10 recently opened files, even without a document or project open. Typing shows matching recents above project results without duplicates; history persists across launches and follows File → Open Recent → Clear Menu (#469).
Changed
- Lower idle memory usage. The app no longer keeps a spare reader ready in the background. Later documents create their reader when opened, trading the previous reuse speedup for lower memory use; saved previews for eligible reopened documents remain available (#471).
- Tighter task checkbox spacing. Checkboxes sit closer to their text in both Read and Edit modes (#470).
Fixed
- Task checkboxes work again in Read Mode. Clicking a checkbox saves its change directly to the file, with conflict handling for edits made elsewhere. Tables and Quick Look previews remain read-only (#470).
- Document search stays on the correct display. The search palette remembers its position relative to the document window and stays within that window's current screen when moving between displays (#463).
Contributors
- @gglanzani — requested easier access to recently opened files (#428).
- @lelanddutcher — reported the Read Mode task checkbox regression (#461).
