Markdown Preview now keeps long documents sharp, makes section links and navigation history more reliable, and improves handoff to AI apps and Homebrew-installed command-line tools.

Added

  • The command-line launcher is bundled for Homebrew integration. The app now includes its launcher at a stable path so Homebrew can expose mdp, md-preview, and markdown-preview without a separate in-app installation step (#202, #200).

Changed

  • AI apps appear first in the Open menu. When no preference has been saved, the first installed AI app becomes the default handoff while external editors remain available in the same menu (#207).

Fixed

  • Section links and navigation history now preserve your place. Links to headings work within and across documents, and Back and Forward restore the previous scroll position instead of reopening at the top (#206).
  • Long documents stay sharp on Retina displays. Very large Markdown files now remain at native display resolution while scrolling (#203).
  • Closing a preview while assets load no longer crashes. Cancelled image and other local-asset requests now stop cleanly when a document closes or is replaced (#199).
  • Opening the editor no longer triggers a layout crash. Switching from the rendered preview into edit mode now avoids recursive AppKit layout (#201).
