Plainva 0.8.1

Four days after 0.8.0. On the day 0.8.0 shipped, three feature requests and one Fedora bug
report came in; they are all in here, together with what had been building on main since
the cut — a theme of your own, the device's calendars on the phone, and one correction in the
encrypted-workspace protocol that mattered more than its size.

If you use an encrypted workspace on more than one device, update all of them. A device
still on 0.8.0 judges a change under the newest policy version; this release judges it under
the version the change names. Until every device has updated, two of them can disagree about
the same operation, and the quarantine card on the older one will say so.

Added

• My theme, with guardrails. A custom theme has its own page: mood (light/dark), a
  background from a bounded brightness range, a free accent, rounding, and "take from" any
  built-in theme. Text colours are derived, never chosen — an accent too pale for its
  background is lifted to at least 3:1 and the editor says so. Same controls on the phone.
• Three font slots, on every theme. The Fonts card sets interface, content and code
  separately (code offers monospace only), with the same preview catalog as before. A font
  saved in a custom theme moves into the interface slot on update. (#82)
• Kanban: a note's checklist on its card. The task lines of the note (- [ ]) show on the
  board card with a progress bar, tick directly there, and "Add subtask" writes into the note.
  file.tasks is a column you can show in any view. (#83)
• WIP limits per column — click the count in a column header, type the limit; 6/5 is
  shown in the warning tone. (#83)
• Swimlanes — a second grouping axis on the board from any property, lanes collapsible,
  the lane as a chip on the card. Dropping on a cell sets both properties. (#83)
• Overdue means the same everywhere. One rule for all eight views: a date chip on cards, in
  the timeline and the calendar, and an overdue chip in the warning tone. (#84)
• Comment on a property from the table it is shown in. The dot in a cell opens the thread;
  the context menu has "Comment on property". Both shells.
• One "New…" catalog in two groups, reached from the sidebar, the action bar, the palettes
  and the phone's FAB; an event or a task is created where it lives.
• Empty states on every list on the desktop — including the empty graph — say what the
  list expects and offer the first step.
• The arrow keys walk the mail list, and a long press on a mail row (phone) opens the sheet.
  One action list per row kind (mail, task, file) feeds the context menu, the selection bar,
  the sheet and the swipe, so they can no longer drift apart.
• The quarantine card names its cause. A cause code per entry, a cascade grouped as one,
  entries that validate later close themselves, and a diagnostics export for a report.
• Compare local forks of a note, and an unsent suggestion copy survives the app closing:
  a banner says "unsent suggestions found" and offers them back.
• The folder of a folder slice is picked from the vault, on both shells.
• Colour, chosen the same way everywhere: heading colour, icon tint, pen, event colour and
  three phone sheets share one swatch grid and popover.

Changed

• The desktop updater reads its manifest from a fixed location first
  (releases/download/updater/latest.json) and only then from whichever release GitHub labels
  "Latest". Nothing to do; existing installs learn the new path with this update.
• The default calendar travels with the profile to your other devices, and the adoption
  notice remembers values, not names.
• A timed event grows into the free lanes to its right; a short event's minimum height
  grows only into free room, never into the next event.
• The peek window's properties column has steps and a grip, and three editors hold at
  every width.
• The settings page reserves its scrollbar gutter, so the theme gallery never reflows when
  a page starts to scroll.
• "Not readable" instead of "0 backups" when an archive folder cannot be listed.
• Android: platform requirements are on the record, a 16 KB page-size guard runs before the
  Play upload, and the diagnostics show the system's exit reasons.

Fixed

• A window opened with "Open in new window" can be closed on macOS again (#86). It was
  built without the traffic lights the central window keeps, the drawn window buttons exist
  on Windows and Linux only, and ⌘W closed a tab, never the window. Auxiliary windows now carry
  the central window's chrome, and ⌘W / Ctrl+W closes the window once its last tab is the
  active one — the composer window too.
• The AppImage starts on Mesa 25 hosts — Fedora 44 among them (#85). The bundler ships the
  build machine's libwayland-client; Mesa's EGL loaded against it and aborted with
  EGL_BAD_PARAMETER. The AppImage now preloads the host's own copy at start-up. The .rpm
  and .deb were never affected.
• 185 quarantine entries were a protocol error, not tampering. An operation is now judged
  in the policy version it references, the device chain continues from what the workspace
  holds, applied work is not re-judged, and a revoked device is heard only as far as its
  revocation was witnessed. A device that joins later builds the vault completely.
• A comment anchor never starts a block — a commented list item keeps its bullet.
• A suggestion picked in the text shows its card, on both shells.
• Markdown link targets survive #, ? and parentheses in file names.
• Google accepts a blocked copy of a recurring event (the time zone of the master).
• The free colour disc carries the pick ring when the value is no preset; the colour rows of
  "My theme" are one eight-slot grid.
• head() on a sync store asks for one object instead of listing everything.

Windows, macOS (13.3+), Linux (.deb, .rpm, AppImage). Android 8.0+ · iOS 16.4+.

macOS builds are signed and notarised. Windows installers are signed; SmartScreen may still warn
until the certificate builds reputation — the publisher name is behind More info.

Existing installations update themselves.
