It's been a while since the last release and @jxhug has been going crazy adding new features, so we decided to upload our progress so far. Here's a list of new features, hopefully I don't forget any because there are quite a few.
- Fixed a bug where the release date would be replaced by the current date when editing a game
- Improved visual design of detail view and add/edit game views
- Added more platforms for sorting the game list
- Added help buttons to the add/edit game views
- No longer need to restart when changing start button colour
- Added a setting to turn off or change the size of the icons in the game list
- Automatically resize icon images to 96x96px to reduce lag when loading
- Added a "status" metadata field to show if a game is in your backlog, currently playing, finished, etc.
- Added a search bar to filter games
- Added more ways to sort games in the sidebar (platform, status, alphabetical, recently played)
- Added the ability to tag favourite games and always show them at the top of the game list
- If a metadata field is empty, it will no longer be shown in the detail view
On top of all those features, there are a number of other bug fixes and optimizations to improve performance, as well as automatic updating of the games.json file so that you don't have to manually edit it anymore!
I hope you enjoy all these new features! We are working hard on the last few features before the full 1.0 release! It is getting close now, and I am very excited to see this app fully realized!
