github phisch/phinger-cursors v2.2
v2.2 - phorever sharp

This release introduces scalable SVG cursor support in addition to the classic XCursor files.

Sharp at any size

GNOME 51 and KDE Plasma 6.2+ render cursors from SVG instead of pre-rendered bitmaps like the XCursor format. Phingers now come in the cursors_scalable format both use, so fractional scaling, odd cursor sizes and mixed DPI setups all get a pixel perfect phinger without having to pick the best fitting bitmap size.

This matters most on GNOME 51: it only loads SVG cursors for everything it draws itself, and falls back to Adwaita for themes that don't yet ship them. Without this release, GNOME 51 users would have seen a phinger in some apps and an Adwaita arrow everywhere else.

Two new cursors

The cursor-shape-v1 protocol gained dnd_ask and all_resize in version 2, and GNOME 51 expects a theme to provide both. They are now aliases for the context menu and move cursors.

Left handed hotspot fix

Left handed cursors had their hotspot one pixel too far to the right, past the edge of the image for cursors like the default arrow. Lefties are gonna be able to click more accurate then ever!

Built with Cursor Theme Builder v1.1, which is where all of the bove was implemented for this release.
