Several devices, one PS5. Your computers, phones and Docker setup can now all use the same console
at once, see what the others are doing, and stay out of each other's way. Send the helper from
this version once; every device then connects to it.
- No more pairing codes. Any device on your network that reaches the helper connects, and the
console remembers it. Devices paired before keep working. (Anyone on your network could already
send the helper and get in, so the code protected nothing.) If you want the old behaviour, turn
on Ask before a new device can connect in Devices: a new device then needs the code on
the TV, or a connected device to let it in. - Devices. A new screen lists every phone, computer and Docker setup that uses the console:
online or last seen, its app version, and what it is doing right now. Rename, remove or block
any of them, and choose how long a device that stopped coming stays on the list (never, 30, 90
or 180 days). The list is kept on the console, so every device sees the same one. The footer
shows how many other devices are connected and what they are doing. - No surprises from other devices.
- Sending the helper asks first when another device is busy on the console, and every device is
told before the helper restarts. - An app older than the console's helper no longer offers to replace it; it asks you to update
the app instead, since sending it would downgrade the helper for everyone. - Rest mode and restart say which devices are in the middle of something.
- A package install waits its turn while another device is installing: a PS5 installs one at a
time. - An upload into a folder another device is writing into says so.
- A blocked device is told it is blocked instead of "pairing is closed".
- Sending the helper asks first when another device is busy on the console, and every device is
- Your set-up follows you. The console list and the settings that describe how you use
PS5Upload (sidebar pins, upload, install, convert and link settings, saved searches and more)
are shared through each console, so a new phone or computer gets your consoles and set-up the
first time it connects. Theme, language, text size, where files are saved and the bandwidth cap
stay per device. - Mesh Drive. A folder kept the same on your computers, phones and Docker, with its home in a
folder on the console. Create one, pick a folder on each device that should keep a copy, and a
device already in lets the new one in. Every device syncs with the console every half minute
while the helper runs (Docker keeps going with no app open), so a file added anywhere reaches
everyone.- A file changed in two places at once keeps both copies, one renamed "(conflict from …)".
- Deleted files go to a trash folder for 30 days, and deleting many files at once waits for you
to confirm. - A folder that goes missing (an unplugged drive) is treated as offline, never as "everything
was deleted".
- Download straight to your NAS. In Files, a file or folder's menu now offers Download to
for each saved server (SMB share, FTP, FTPS, SFTP or WebDAV): pick a folder on it and
the download goes there instead of to this computer. Handy with the Docker web UI running on
the NAS. The engine passes each file through on its way, so it needs room for the largest
single file, not the whole download; a file already there is replaced, and an interrupted copy
never leaves a half file under the real name. - Docker: the web UI warns when
/datais not kept by the host, since every update would then
make the container a new device.
