- Cheats no longer crash the console. Switching a cheat on or off could crash the game or the
whole console on newer firmware (seen with Marvel's Wolverine). Cheats are now written straight
into the game's memory, the way that works on these firmwares, instead of changing the game's
memory protection. A cheat now goes on completely or not at all: if any part can't be written,
the parts already written are put back. Cheats can only change the game itself, never the
system, and turning one cheat off no longer breaks another that shares code with it. Cheat
files too large to read are refused instead of being applied in part. - Find and download cheats on the console. In PS5Upload Files, Cheats has Find cheats:
it lists the cheat files for the running game from the same collections the PC app uses,
marks the one for your game's version, and downloads it straight to the console, where its
cheats show up at once. If the PS5 can't reach GitHub (for example when DNS blocking is on),
the page says so. - Save backups are named after the game too. A backup saved on your computer is now named
likePPSA01234-Game Name-User.zip.
