Refreshed for FW 13.60. Tested on two consoles running 13.60 (a launch
PS5 and a PS5 Pro): uploads and downloads at full speed, folders and .zip
files, file management, mounting disk images, save backups, hardware
readings and every screen in the app.
- Games lists your apps again. On 13.60 the Games screen was empty: apps
installed by homebrew installers (Payload Manager, Shadow Mount+, WebKit
Autoloader…) keep their details somewhere the list didn't look. They now
show up with their names and icons. Menu entries and preinstalled tiles
that were never downloaded are left out. - Honest about fake packages above FW 11.60. Fake-package support
(kstuff's FPKG build and a53_ppr_install_fast.elf) only exists up to FW
11.60 so far. On newer firmware, Install Package says so up front instead
of listing payloads that don't exist for your console, Convert warns
before you spend time building, and Games no longer claims installs are
good to go. - A launch that didn't happen is no longer reported as a success. When
the console refused to start an app, the app still said "launched". It
now checks the app is actually running and shows the console's refusal. - File names inside .zip files keep their characters. Names in other
languages (名前, é, …) were garbled on upload, because most zips mark them
as UTF-8 only implicitly. File contents were never affected. - Backing up an empty save no longer leaves an empty backup in the list.
- The app reopens where you left off. This had quietly stopped working
when Home became the start screen. Opening or refreshing What's New by its
address also no longer jumps back to the previous screen.
Known issue on FW 13.60: waking the console from rest mode doesn't work
yet. The console refuses Remote Play when the signed-in account is an
offline-activated one, and network wake depends on Remote Play — Sony's own
Remote Play app can't wake it either. Being worked on.
