Every way an archive can be split is now recognised — including the ones
that used to upload silently as a useless raw file.
Game.7z.001,Game.zip.001and friends. These are what 7-Zip
produces when it splits a file. They don't end in.zip/.7z/.rar, so
ps5upload didn't see them as archives at all and sent the raw volume to
your PS5, where it's unusable — with no warning. Now it says so, and tells
you to join the volumes first.- Spanned zips (
Game.z01+Game.zip). The.zipopens but its
contents live in the other volumes, which ps5upload can't read. Flagged
instead of half-uploading. - Old-style RAR volumes (
Game.r00). If you pick one of these, you're
now pointed at theGame.rarthat opens the whole set — one click, and
the rest are read automatically. - Ordinary files are left alone. A
save.2024orbackup.1999is not
a split archive, so a numeric suffix only counts when a real second
volume is sitting next to it.
