github phantomptr/ps5upload v5.28.0

Screens wait for a console instead of pretending, and every on/off setting
is the same switch.

Screens that need a console now say so

  • Install Package no longer draws its whole staging UI with nothing
    connected.
It used to show a small "No PS5 host set" warning and then the
full screen anyway. It now hands the screen to the same connection gate the
rest of the app uses, which names the actual problem — the engine is down, no
console is set up, or the helper isn't running — and offers the one click
that fixes it. The header stays, so the console chip still tells you what you
    are pointed at.
  • The same fix for Screenshots, Videos, Library, nanoDNS, and Processes,
each of which was drawing its own version of "connect first" underneath a
    full set of controls.
  • Convert to FPKG keeps working with no console. The conversion runs on the
machine hosting the engine, so only the install step at the end is gated.

One switch for every setting

  • The checkboxes that turn something on or off are now the switch used by
the beta-feature setting. That covers all of Settings, Continue on failure,
    Auto-refresh, Mount read-only, Also patch libc.prx, the bug-report sections,
and the view filters on Processes, Installed apps and Cheats.
  • Picking things is still a checkbox. Table rows, file-system entries, the
payload multi-pick, and the tri-state "select all" keep their checkboxes — a
switch means "on/off", not "these ones".

Fixed

  • Stream install refused to run with no console set instead of failing
    somewhere further in.
  • Dropping a .pkg on the window with no console connected no longer starts
    a staging upload.
The drop handler is registered on the window, outside the
screen, so it needed its own guard.
