ps5upload can install a whole downloaded backport pack, and the library
corpus stops learning things that were never true.
Install a backport pack, not just a third of one
Backports circulate as a folder — fakelib/ plus an eboot.bin that is
already patched, replacement sce_module/ files, and the game's own engine
plugins. Until now ps5upload could only ever apply the fakelib/ part, so a
pack that fixed a game anywhere else could not be used here at all.

Point it at the folder and it installs the lot. Everything it replaces is
backed up first, so Undo puts the game back exactly as it was. The eboot is
written last: if anything goes wrong before that, the game still starts
exactly as it did. -
No SDK patch is applied. A pack's eboot arrives already downgraded, and
patching it again would rewrite a correct field and break the signature it
shipped with. -
Only the libraries are kept for later. They are the reusable part and go
into the corpus for every future backport; the eboot and modules belong to
one game and are installed straight from the folder rather than stored. -
It warns before it runs out of room. The backup is a copy, so replacing a
256 MB eboot briefly needs space for two. -
Pointing the old import at a pack used to make a mess. Every pack carries
.prxfiles outsidefakelib/, and all of them were swept into one library
set — a combination no game has ever run. Files are now recognised by where
they sit in the pack, not by their extension.
The corpus stops collecting things that are not backports

fakelib/folder is no longer taken as proof. A game that was dumped
but never downgraded can still have one, and its leftover files were being
recorded as a library set — which the app then offered FIRST for that very
game, where it could never work. Those titles are now skipped and counted, so
a scan that finds nothing says why instead of looking broken. -
Sets are offered based on what actually ran. A set your other console is
recorded running for a game is now preferred for that game, even when the set
was originally harvested from something else entirely. -
One console stops counting as two. Sightings were told apart by the name
you gave a console, so renaming it — or the app using its address once and its
name the next time — made a single machine look like corroborating evidence
from two.
Backporting explains itself better

"An external BackPork is active" was often us. A game starts more than
once as it launches, and the second pass was seeing the overlay the first pass
had just created. It now recognises its own work, and tells apart "BackPork is
running, stop it" from "something left a mount behind, restart the console" —
which need opposite fixes. -
A blocked launch no longer sticks. The warning used to stay up until the
payload was reloaded, long after the cause was gone.
