Install verification + extended-storage fixes.

  • Installs to an extended / M.2 SSD are recognized correctly. If your PS5
installs games to an extended drive (not internal storage), the app used to
report the install as failed — even though the game installed perfectly and
plays — because it only looked for the game in internal storage. It now
confirms an install by the actual data written to any drive, so
extended-storage installs are no longer wrongly flagged as failures. (If you
hit this before: the game was fine all along — just launch it.)
  • A "hollow" install still can't masquerade as success. The app confirms a
title's content actually landed before reporting success, and tells you
honestly if it didn't — now measured by what was really written, so it's
accurate on every drive and still catches a genuinely empty "dead tile."
  • Firmware-aware installs. On newer firmware (11.xx/12.xx) the installer runs
under the correct system authority so content lands properly; on FW 9.60 and
below the proven path is unchanged.
  • Big games install from USB without the slow copy. Installing a PKG from a
USB drive used to copy the entire file to internal storage first — a single
blocking step that, for a 25 GB game, could run for hours and then fail. The
app now installs directly from the USB path when it can, falling back to a
copy only if needed, with a live install percentage throughout.
