github phantomptr/ps5upload v3.3.3

A big-install data-loss fix, plus the in-app updater.

  • Large PKGs (25 GB, 100 GB, 200 GB+) install reliably now. The tool used to
decide an install was "done" after a fixed ~100-second timer, then delete the
uploaded PKG — but Sony's installer reads that PKG for the entire install,
which for a big game takes many minutes. So a 25 GB game would upload, get
deleted mid-install, and leave you with no game and no PKG (the reported
Bloodborne case on FW 12.20). The tool now watches the install actually
    finish
instead of guessing: it tracks the title landing on the console and
the bytes writing to disk, with no size limit, and only deletes the staged PKG
once the install is genuinely complete. A live install percentage shows
while a big title installs in the background.
  • Stalled installs keep your PKG. If an install stops making progress before
it finishes, the tool now says so and keeps the PKG on the PS5 so you can
retry — it never deletes a package for an install that didn't complete.
  • In-app update works on Android (and everywhere). "Download update" used to
fail on Android (it tried to launch a desktop-style opener); it now opens the
release via the proper system handler on every platform, with OS/arch detected
    automatically.
  • Processes screen won't offer to kill the tool itself. The helper's own
process is now marked and its Kill/Restart actions disabled — no more
confusing "Operation not permitted" when trying to kill it.
