- Faster uploads — large folders now send over several connections at once.
A single upload stream is limited by the console's per-connection write speed
(around 40 MB/s on non-Pro PS5s — a single-thread limit, not your network or
SSD). Uploads now split a folder's files across up to 4 parallel streams,
which adds up to a much higher total. Measured on wired gigabit: ~1.7× faster
on a PS5 (fat) and ~1.4× on a PS5 Pro (which was already close to the network
limit). It turns on automatically and falls back to a single stream on older
payloads; you can change it under Settings → Upload → Parallel upload streams.
(Tiny-file folders are limited by the console's filesystem, not bandwidth, so
they don't speed up — this helps games with real-sized files.)
