• macOS: automatic updates and Install and restart work again. Since 11.1.0 they failed with "could not open the .dmg", because the download showed a license agreement that the updater couldn't accept. This version installs by itself from 11.1.0 or newer once it's offered.
• Updates: when an update doesn't install, the box now says to quit PS5Upload before replacing the app by hand and has a Quit button. Closing the window can leave the app running, which is why your system said it was still open.
