github pganalyze/collector v0.74.0

  • Stop supporting Amazon Linux 2, RHEL 7, Debian 11 (Bullseye) and Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal)
    • These distributions are end of life
    • This raises the minimum glibc requirement to 2.28 (RHEL-based) and 2.34
(Debian-based), which is now checked explicitly during the package build
  • Allow disabling WebSocket use via config setting
    • By default the collector uploads snapshots over a WebSocket connection and
falls back to HTTP when that fails. The new setting
      api_disable_websocket / API_DISABLE_WEBSOCKET skips the WebSocket
entirely and goes straight to HTTP, as an interim workaround for
environments where the WebSocket connection can't be used at all
  • WebSocket: Add 30 second timeout for opening connections
    • This matches how HTTP connections are handled
  • WebSocket: Avoid full snapshots and test runs stalling when the endpoint is
    unreachable
    • These now wait at most 10 seconds for the WebSocket connection before
falling back to HTTP, instead of up to a minute, while reconnects keep
      being attempted in the background
  • Support PGA_API_SYSTEM_ID_FALLBACK and PGA_API_SYSTEM_TYPE_FALLBACK
environment variables, matching the existing config file settings
