The Video screen's settings now work with every dump.
- 1.0.2's settings in PROTOTYPE's Options > Video showed only Brightness with dumps that keep the game's files in archives (
p1\*.rcf, as dumped straight from the PS4 package). They now appear there too.
No game files are included. You need your own legally obtained, decrypted dump of CUSA06545 (01.00): the folder with eboot.bin, prototype2_ps4f.elf, sce_sys, sce_module, p1 and p2. Your game folder is never modified.
Download and play
- Download PROTOTYPE-PC-Port-v1.0.3.zip below and unpack it anywhere. You can also unpack it over an earlier version: your saves and settings in
user\are kept. - Start Prototype.exe and choose your game folder.
- Pick PROTOTYPE or PROTOTYPE 2 with the file tabs at the top left, then press PLAY (or Enter).
Fixed in 1.0.3
- Options > Video showed only Brightness with archive dumps. The port now finds the Video screen's menu files inside the archives and lays its changed copies over them, as it already does for the keyboard button icons. Nothing in the game folder is changed.
- Under Brightness: Upscaling, Upscaling quality, Sharpening, Display mode and V-Sync, in the main menu and the pause menu (1.0.2 notes).
- If they are still missing, please send
last_run.log: itsMenu:lines say what was found.
Known issues
- PROTOTYPE 2 is still experimental. It has no keyboard and mouse button icons, FSR upscaling does not work in it, and its mouse camera goes through the right stick. The settings rows are PROTOTYPE's only.
- Render resolutions above 1080p are still experimental in both games.
- FSR 4.1 stays hidden: AMD's Windows driver lacks a Vulkan feature it needs.
