Warning
This is an in-development test build, not meant for general use. It exists so the people in the linked issue can test a fix and give feedback, and it may have bugs that the regular release doesn't. If you aren't taking part in testing this build on that issue, please use the latest release instead.
This test build is for #602. It is the Beta 6 work in progress plus this change:
- #602: a new setting, Video > Ambient occlusion. Default is the Switch's own size, as before. High draws it at up to twice that, so the soft shadows at wall bases and around objects are sharper and flicker less at high render scales.
On Windows, unzip it into a new folder and keep your normal install as it is. Set up your game files from the start screen as before. If it offers to update, skip that while you test.
What to try: set Video > Ambient occlusion to High, with your usual setup (2x, SMAA, Remove Blur), and look around Toronbo Shores where your video was. Switch between Default and High to compare. Tell us how it looks on #602, and attach lasrecomp.log from the data folder if anything is off.
Built from b0c393e.
