npx impeccable runs the binary. The package resolves a platform package (@impeccable/cli-<os>-<arch>) installed as an optional dependency, then the user cache, then a checksum-verified download of the pinned engine release. A download without a verifiable checksum is refused rather than run.

The JavaScript detector API is gone. The package no longer exports a detect function; the same rules are available as a WebAssembly module for hosts that cannot run the binary. Every documented command (detect, ignores, install, update, check, link) keeps its name, flags, and output.
