RAW development arrives: edit the RAW files from your camera and phone directly, with everything the sensor recorded.

What’s new

• RAW development. Edit RAW files from your camera and phone directly, on Immich or on your device, with everything the sensor recorded: more room in the highlights and shadows, and color without loss. A RAW opens tools of its own, such as development profiles and Calibration, and the export matches what you see.
• Remove tool. Paint over what you want gone: Remove fills it from its surroundings, and Heal and Clone copy from an area you choose. Visualize spots reveals sensor dust hidden in a sky.
• Sharpening and noise reduction. In the Detail panel, Sharpening brings out edges and leaves smooth areas alone. Noise Reduction removes grain and color blotches from high-ISO photos.
• Histogram and clipping. The Light panel shows the histogram, and its triangles paint what is clipped on the photo: shadows in blue, highlights in red. Highlights are stronger in new edits.
• Optics and calibration. The new Optics panel corrects lens vignetting and removes purple and green fringes along edges. On RAW files, Calibration adjusts the shadows tint and each primary color.
• Live Photos and Motion Photos. A photo with motion shows up once in the library, with a badge. In the detail, press and hold it to see the motion.
• In the background. Saving to the gallery, sending to Immich and Show your edit keep going when you leave the app, with a notification that lets you cancel. The video now draws the masks and shows the crop closing in.

More improvements

• Edited RAW files from Immich show in the library as you left them; when it is still an approximation, the detail says so and shows the final version.
• Sharing asks whether to send the original or the edited photo.
• Filters work inside each album.
• A stack shows your latest export when the edit has changed since.
• An older RAW edit moves to the current development in one tap.
• The forum is always at hand in Support, with a notice of new replies.
• Each server address’s options no longer get mixed up with the new address’s.
• A faster library, and large RAW files that export without running out of memory.

Install

Requires Android 12 or later. Download IMAGO-0.30.0.apk and open it on your Android device. For updates, keep using the same distribution channel (Google Play or GitHub) as your existing installation.
