The first IMAGO release on GitHub, for anyone who would rather not install through Google Play. It is the same version as on Play, built from this repository’s code.
What’s new in 0.21.0
- Show your edit. In Export, make a vertical video of your edit: the sliders move, the photo follows them, and the before and after comes at the end. Pick one of three styles, add a title and share it right away.
- Masks that combine. Add, subtract or intersect shapes in a mask, and set each mask’s Amount from 0 to 200%. Duplicate a mask, or duplicate it inverted, and use up to eight per photo.
- Paint the mask. The Brush paints the area to adjust, the Eraser fixes it, and Auto Mask keeps it inside the edges. Each with Size, Feather, Flow and Density.
- Video in compositions. With a video selected, the timeline shows the page’s videos: drag them to move them, trim them by their ends and choose which ones you hear. When exporting, pick the quality and see the file size first.
- Light and lens. In white balance, Auto removes the color cast of the light, and a recipe with it looks for the light again in each photo it is applied to. In Perspective, Distortion straightens the lines the lens has curved.
- Copy only what you want. Copying or saving a recipe shows what it carries, panel by panel, and you choose down to each slider. Crop, perspective and masks start switched off.
- Only the albums you want. In Settings, choose which albums appear in All. In the albums grid, a long press hides an album, and Show all brings them back.
- Improvements and fixes. Sending edits to an Immich 3 server now works, an edited background in the composer keeps its edits, and a new mask starts in the part of the photo you can see. Plus several optimizations and small fixes.
Installing
Download IMAGO-0.21.0.apk below and open it on your phone. Android 12 or later.
Google Play and this APK don’t update each other. The version on Google Play is signed by Google, and this APK is signed with our own key, so Android treats them as different signatures. To switch from one to the other, uninstall the app first. Edits and recipes that live only on the phone are lost when you uninstall, unless you sync them with an IMAGO account.
This APK doesn’t update itself. New versions are published here.
