New
- In Peek on iPhone and iPad, the More button shrinks the page to a preview with Open in New Tab, Copy Link, Share and Download Linked File beneath it.
- On Mac, Peek size in Links settings lets Peek open smaller, down to about the size it used to be, and Test Peek beneath it opens a sample to try the size.
Improved
- On Mac, a Quick Window that opens where another already is opens a little below and to the right of it, so both stay in view.
- On iPhone and iPad, holding a link opens it in Peek, which grows from the link, instead of the system’s link preview.
Fixed
- On Mac, the sidebar’s New Tab row keeps its usual height in a Space with only a few tabs, instead of stretching into the empty space below them.
- On Mac, a Quick Window for a link from another app opens over the window you're in and on its display, instead of over a Crest window that may be on another display, and comes to the Space you're on.
- On Mac, Command-` (Move focus to next window) moves between Crest's windows, Quick Windows included, when a Chromium page has focus.
- On Mac, a link from another app that opens a Quick Window already open for it brings that Quick Window to the window you're in, and Quick Windows opening at a screen's edge no longer open on top of each other.
- On Mac, a Quick Window for a link from a window that spans two displays opens on the display you're using and fits on it.
- On Mac, choosing a Space in Settings always opens that Space's page, in a second or reopened window too, instead of sometimes leaving Settings on the page it showed before.
- A link that leaves a pinned tab’s site, such as an article shared on Facebook, now loads in Peek instead of showing that the page isn’t available.
- Control-clicking an extension’s icon while its popup is open now opens the icon’s menu, as a right-click does, instead of only closing the popup.
Nightly builds contain the newest changes and may be less reliable than stable releases.
