New
- Crest Studio shows your crest on your Space’s own background, names every color by what it paints, and walks you through shape, field, band, emblem, border, finish and sidebar with previews of your crest. Each part of a crest can now have its own color.
Improved
- When an import holds more than Crest can keep, it now brings as many Spaces, tabs, folders, and bookmarks as fit and lists what it left out, instead of stopping. A Space that joins one of yours brings only the tabs it has room for.
- Importing from Zen or Firefox now brings every profile that has open tabs, each under the name you gave it, and Zen Spaces keep their icons and colors.
- The import review has matching From and Into menus and one card for each Space’s choices, and says when there’s no room for another Space. The list of browsers scrolls when it doesn’t fit the window.
- Settings has a cleaner, native look with less text. Each Space has its own page in the Settings sidebar, where you can add, rename, rearrange, lock and delete Spaces, and tab options have their own Tabs page.
- Every Space template has new arms in colors of their own, from a grey wolf on snow to a pale raven on black, and Shuffle now changes every part of a crest and its sidebar.
Fixed
- Importing a Chrome profile signed in to a Google account now brings the bookmarks and passwords saved to that account, and bookmarks in a browser’s trash are no longer imported.
- Importing from Safari now brings your pinned tabs, and its bookmark folders keep the names Safari shows, such as Favorites and Reading List.
- Tabs that were open in the browser you import from now stay open instead of being archived by automatic cleanup soon after the import, and Arc tabs keep their real dates.
- Switching Spaces with Settings open is now as quick as with a webpage, and Settings pages scroll smoothly.
- Tabs with very long addresses, or addresses that aren’t ordinary web links, open where they were instead of turning into a search.
- On iPad, buttons and menus such as Manage Search Engines respond to a single tap or click instead of needing a long press.
