Highlights
New
- A new General setting keeps the developer toolbar from opening by itself on local pages. Shift-Command-I still shows it on any page.
Improved
- Drag the frame around a page on any edge to move the window, as you can from the sidebar. The gap around a floating sidebar moves the window too. Borderless windows have no frame, so every click still reaches the page.
Fixed
- Full-screen videos in the Chromium engine hide the pointer when you stop moving it, as they do in WebKit.
- A page you send from a Quick Window to another Space responds to clicks and typing as soon as it appears, instead of only after you switch tabs.
- A hidden sidebar slides out at the window's edge only when that window is in front. Moving the pointer over a window in the background no longer opens its sidebar and leaves it stuck open.
- Screen sharing works in Slack huddles and in Slack's call test on pages that run in Chromium. As in Chrome, a site can ask to share your screen without a click of its own, and macOS still asks what to share.
- Tabs take the title a page gives itself after it finishes loading. A link you open in the background with Command-click, or a page that shows “Loading…” first, no longer stays named by its address or placeholder.
- Pages in Chromium that have no title of their own show the site’s name, as WebKit pages do, instead of their full address. A Chromium tab that reloads in the background keeps its title.
Nightly builds contain the newest changes and may be less reliable than stable releases.
