Changes since last release

From CHANGELOG.md, 2026-10-04:

Load large sessions in full (thanks @rmbruntz, #263)

  • New community feature: Settings -> Extra -> Community Features -> Load
    large sessions in full
(off by default). Claude Desktop only loads the last
50 MiB of a Code session's transcript plus 32 MiB of subagent activity and
hides the rest behind "This session is too large to load in full", which
sessions with many inline browser screenshots reach within hours. With the
switch on, the limits are 256 MiB and 192 MiB; transcriptLimitsMainMiB and
transcriptLimitsSubagentMiB (8-1024) change them. Off leaves every upstream
limit as shipped. Takes effect after a restart.
  • Large sessions cost memory: the session cache is sized to the machine's
memory, so a small machine keeps fewer sessions cached instead of running out.

Fixes

  • The startup lines of Files quick open, panel tabs, diff views, window controls
and transparent window now reach claude-patches.log. They were written before
the log was ready and got lost.
  • scripts/validate-patches.sh applies patches in the build's order, so a patch
that builds on an earlier one validates the same way it builds.
