Changes since last release
From CHANGELOG.md, 2026-10-11:
Custom models: switching to a model with a minimum output length (thanks @rcdri, #272)
- Switching a session to OpenRouter's
meta/muse-spark-1.3-contributorfailed with "Couldn't switch …
HTTP 400:max_output_tokensThe number must be>= 16". The CLI checks the model it switches to with
max_tokens: 1, and some upstreams refuse fewer than 16 output tokens. The preload now sends
max_tokensas at least 16. Anthropic's API (the native preset) still gets the CLI's request as it is. - The test button in Settings → Extra → Models sent
max_tokens: 1too and failed on the same
providers; it now sends 16.
Custom models: a User-Agent per provider, and the billing line left out on request (thanks @rcdri, #273)
- A provider's form (and
userAgentin the file) sets the User-Agent of every request to it: the sessions',
over the runtime'sBun/<version>(or the CLI'sclaude-cli/… (external, claude-desktop, …)on
Anthropic's API), and the ones Settings makes (fetch models, test, detect), overnode. - Drop the billing line (
stripBillingHeader) leaves the CLI'sx-anthropic-billing-header: … cc_entrypoint=claude-desktop …block out of the system prompt sent to a compatible provider. Not offered
for Anthropic's API, which uses it. - Neither is a credential: both stay when a provider's base URL moves to another host.
