Changes since last release
From CHANGELOG.md, 2026-10-09:
Upstream v2.31226.0 (thanks @hexadecimil, #269)
- Re-fitted two patches. In both, upstream now runs a call inside the condition the patch anchors on
(if(<call>,!<test>)): the suppressed renderer-gone log (the handler's first guard) and tray-less
desktops (the close handler, which now callspreventDefault()there). The calls are accepted and kept
where they are, so behavior is unchanged. - NixOS: the official build adds
resources/disclaimer, a small supervisor the app now starts stdio
MCP servers, Claude Code sessions and the Android emulator through when the file exists. It asks for the
FHS loader, so the Nix package now points it at the store's glibc loader; without that, those launches
would fail on NixOS. Other formats ship it as is (it needs only glibc 2.34). - NixOS:
resources/chrome-native-host(the Claude in Chrome native-messaging host the browser starts)
gets the same store loader, plus libgcc_s, so Claude in Chrome can reach the app on NixOS. - Local builds need Node 24 or newer for the syntax check: the bundle now uses
await using, which
Node 22 cannot parse. The build says so instead of reporting upstream's own code as broken; CI's Arch
container already has a current Node. - Flag template 482 -> 515 entries (+34, -1), Extra -> Deployment catalog 179 -> 183 keys (new:
claudeCodeSettings,coworkFileReadCheck,toolPolicyEndpoint,toolPolicyRules, shown read-only:
Desktop ignores them in local and device-managed settings). Electron 44.4.3 and the .deb dependencies
are unchanged. - Audits: no new platform gate needs Linux work (the new capability keys are supported everywhere or
off on every platform), the built-in MCP roster is unchanged, andfix_ion_dist_linuxstill finds both
of its sites after ion-dist moved its config chunk.
