OTPClient 5.3.0

OTPClient 5.3.0 makes it easier to manage tokens and safer to work with imports and databases.

  • Manage tokens in bulk. Select visible tokens to assign a group, export, or delete them together. Bulk deletions can be undone; changing the search or group filter clears selections hidden by the new view.
  • Manage groups more easily. Rename a group across all its tokens, or remove the group while keeping the tokens. Group searches now match partial names, and Clear Filters resets a search that has no matches.
  • Review imports before adding them. Preview the tokens in a backup, skip exact duplicates, and choose what to import. If an existing account has a different secret, OTPClient flags it so you can choose whether to replace it or keep both.
  • Repair tokens without losing access to the rest of your database. Tokens with invalid settings are kept aside while the database opens, and a review banner lets you repair or delete them. Repairs are checked before replacing the saved token, and deletion asks for confirmation.
  • Keep the app responsive during longer tasks. Importing backups, exporting tokens, and changing database password or key settings now run in the background. The app reports when password changes finish, keeps the keyring in sync, and stays open until database work is complete.
  • Get clearer feedback and more reliable search. Scanned or pasted OTP links with missing or invalid settings are refused with a reason, instead of silently using defaults. Cross-database search now follows database changes during loading and continues to work when another database is locked.
  • Export backups with the right file type. The save dialog now filters files by the selected format and adds a missing filename extension while preserving custom extensions. 2FAS backups use .2fas, and replacing an existing file after adding an extension asks for confirmation. Fixes #474.
