Session

Session uses the Session encryption protocol and the Oxen blockchain’s decentralised Service Node network to provide anonymous, end-to-end encrypted messaging without relying on central servers.

Release Overview

This release contains the Session calls beta and the following changes

• Messages you receive from unknown users or contacts will be filtered into a message requests folder
• Use up to two scaled placeholder characters for users with no avatar #2183 @ianmacd
• Allow all file types as generic attachments #2171 @ianmacd
• Rely on unicodes character for emojis and make them accessible with ":" in the composition box #2164

• Load all messages in conversation with a short history #2190

• Improve call UI #2165
• Open groups joined on other devices are now joined on desktop #2192
