Session

Session uses the Signal encryption protocol and the Loki blockchain’s decentralised Service Node network to provide anonymous, end-to-end encrypted messaging without relying on central servers.

Release overview:

• Replace JazzIcon avatar placeholders with coloured avatars using first letter of Session ID nickname (#1336)
• Trigger Push Notification for mobile on successful message send (#1346)
• Render closed group avatars as on mobile: with 2 members avatars rather than a 'group' icon (#1341, #1344)
• Add beta translations for Japanese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Polish (#1342)

Bug Fixes

• Fix polling issue which caused the app to stop receiving new messages after some time (#1329)
• Order open group message by server timestamp rather than user timestamp (#1321)
• Minor UI fixes (#1334, #1331, #1326, #1343)
• Fix a bug which caused existing conversations which were opened but not in focus to improperly mark incoming messages as read (#1340)
