1404d89: Analysis:
detectTransientsfinds where a recording's notes and beats begin, to the sample, andestimateTemporeads the tempo they keep (60 to 200 BPM, the octave nearest 120) and where its first beat falls, ornullwhen there is no steady beat.autoWarpturns that into the warp markers that play a file in time at an arrangement's tempo: a short file that 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 bars fit, as that loop; any other with a marker on the first beat of each bar, moved onto the nearest transient. -
1404d89: Playback: a clip can stretch time without changing its pitch.
warpModeis"repitch", the default and what a clip played until now,"beats", slices that each play at their own speed so an attack keeps its shape (warpGrainsets their length), or"tones", overlapping grains lined up on each other so a held note keeps its pitch and level. In those two, transposeplays the clip that many semitones from its pitch at the speed it has. A clip with no warp and no transpose is still copied as it is, in any mode.A streamed recording read between its frames finds its page once for the four points it interpolates, rather than four times: a stretched or repitched clip read from a stream costs less on the audio thread.
