Changelog

SRS 7.0-d0 is the first development release of SRS 7. Compared with v6.0-r1, major changes include:

• Add RTSP playback and RTMPS server support.
• Add IPv6 support for RTMP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebRTC, SRT, and RTSP.
• Add HEVC support for RTMP-to-WebRTC and WebRTC-to-RTMP conversion.
• Add HLS fMP4 segments for HEVC and LL-HLS.
• Add VP9 and G.711 support for WebRTC.
• Introduce the next-generation Go proxy server and origin-cluster architecture.
• Improve WebRTC, SRT, HLS, HTTP-FLV, DVR, edge, and protocol stability.
• Expand unit, workflow, black-box, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Introduce an AI-maintained knowledge base and development workflows.

Important Changes

• The embedded GB28181 SIP server was removed; use the external srs-sip server.
• Multi-threading and Cygwin support were removed.
• Most configuration hot reload functionality was removed.
• RTMP configuration options moved into the rtmp {} section.
• Deprecated hls_acodec and hls_vcodec options were removed.
• Edge mode is limited to RTMP and HTTP-FLV.
• Supported audio codecs are limited to AAC, MP3, and Opus.
