Fredy 12 is finally here... 🎉
This release lays the groundwork for many exciting features ahead. The big change: Fredy has moved from LowDB to SQLite as its primary database. This switch opens the door for a wide range of new capabilities that I’ll be rolling out over the coming weeks.
If you’re upgrading from an earlier version, Fredy will automatically create a new SQLite database and migrate most of your existing data from LowDB. The only exception is listing data, which is no longer compatible. As a result, you’ll see a flood of listings right after the upgrade, but from the second run onward everything will behave normally again.
For now, if everything works as planned, you shouldn’t notice any immediate differences.
BREAKING CHANGES:
- the minimum node version is now 22
