NuGet: OpenTelemetry.Sampler.AWS v0.1.0-alpha.16
-
Fixed a bug where a transient failure fetching sampling rules from the
X-Ray daemon/collector (e.g. a network error or an unparsable response)
would wipe out the previously cached rules instead of being ignored. This
could cause the sampler to temporarily fall back to a low-fidelity default
sampling strategy, discard any sampling targets already applied, and
recreate rule appliers from scratch on the next successful poll.
(#5424) -
Fixed a bug where the remote sampler's target poller could busy-loop
when a rule applier had never received a sampling target and the clock's
"now" landed exactly on that applier's initial snapshot time.
(#5424) -
The globs of sampling rules (such as a
URLPathof/health*) must now match
the whole attribute value instead of matching wherever they occur in the value.
(#5455) -
Fixed the rule and target pollers stopping indefinitely after a response they
could not apply. Invalid rules and targets are now skipped and logged, only the
first of several rules with the sameRuleNameis used, theIntervalof a target
is limited to 5 minutes, and the next poll is scheduled even if a poll fails.
(#5455) -
Requests to the sampling endpoint now time out after 10 seconds.
(#5455) -
Updated OpenTelemetry core component version(s) to
1.20.0.
(#5541)
See CHANGELOG for details.
