Library Cleanup: a daily rewind of "on this day" photos to keep or clear out, plus cleanup queues for blurry photos, screenshots, space hogs, bursts and duplicates. It works on the web and in the app.
A redesigned search in the app, with live counts on every filter.
Database backups to S3, for servers that already store their media in S3.
Space editors can manage members, if the owner or admin allows it.

Spatial Scene (web + app)

Turn it on in Administration → Settings → Machine Learning → Spatial Scene (it's off by default), then run the Spatial Scene job under Jobs for your existing photos.
Open a portrait, a pet photo or anything with a clear subject. A round Spatial toggle appears in the viewer, next to the OCR one. The scene should follow your mouse on the web and the tilt of your phone in the app.
Photos without a clear foreground shouldn't offer the toggle, unless you set Offer it on to All photos.
Open a photo through a shared link and check that Spatial Scene works there too.
Tell us how long the job takes per photo on your hardware, and which machine-learning image you run (CPU, CUDA, OpenVINO, ROCm).

Library Cleanup (web: Utilities → Cleanup; app: Library → Cleanup)

Go through today's rewind: keep or remove photos, use undo, leave halfway and resume, then finish.
Try each queue (Blurry, Screenshots, Space hogs, Bursts, Duplicates). Do the suggestions make sense for your library?
Check that removed photos land in the trash and can be restored. If your trash is turned off, you should be asked to confirm a permanent delete.
On a big library, let us know if any page is slow to load.

Search in the app

Search by text, then add people, places, tags, cameras and dates. The counts on each filter should match the results you get.
Type # to get tag suggestions.
Search inside an album and inside a Space. Results should stay inside it.

Database backups to S3 (only if your server stores media in S3)

Turn on Upload backups to S3 in Administration → Settings → Database Dump Settings, then run a backup. It should appear under backups/ in your bucket and be removed from the server's disk.
Restore one of those backups. It should show up in the restore list.

Space editors managing members

As an admin, turn on Let space editors add members and/or Let space editors change member roles in Administration → Settings → Server Settings.
As an editor, add a member and switch someone between viewer and editor. As the owner, turn it off for your own Space and check that the editor can no longer do it.

Upgrading from Immich

If you're coming from Immich 3.3 and your users shared people or joined cluster groups, the switch to Gallery should now work. Check that everyone's people and faces are still there after the first night's jobs.

Anything else: just use Gallery as usual and report anything that doesn't work as before.

Set IMMICH_VERSION=v5.10.0-rc.0 in your .env, then:
