ira — the gitagent engine, ported to Rust
This release adds rust/gitagent-rs: a Rust rewrite of the gitagent engine (ira) and a complete local-first desktop product built on it (Lyzr Edgespace).
Engine
picore: agent loop, provider fallback + auto-continue on truncation, streaming channel splitter for reasoning models- SDK: agent loader (argv-only git, injection-safe), four builtin tools + memory/pdf, docx/pdf text extraction, PDF writer, hooks, sessions, eval harness
Desktop app (Lyzr Edgespace)
- Single-binary embedded web UI: chat with sessions, VS Code-style agent editor, Edge Agents page with per-agent OpenAI-compatible endpoints (
POST /v1/chat/completions) - Sign-in via Memberstack (email + Google with browser handoff for webviews)
- Lyzr Edge Skills: browse your studio skill catalog and install skills scoped to their monorepo folder, with a per-agent install ledger — even mid-chat
- Models: curated library (Gemma 3 1B, Gemma 4 e2b, Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, Muse Glimmer 30B), detailed download progress (GB / speed / ETA), cancellable + resumable pulls, and automatic Ollama installation — the app sets up and supervises its own local engine
- First-run onboarding: sign in → engine auto-setup → pick a model → create your first agent in any folder
Install the app (macOS, universal)
curl -fsSL https://github.com/NeuralgoLyzr/lyzr-edgespace/releases/latest/download/install.sh | bashDMG attached as an alternative (right-click → Open on first launch, or see the in-DMG README).
39/39 integration tests passing.
