Installation

1. Download the release ZIP file from GitHub Releases.
2. Extract the ZIP file.
3. Run install-Beta.cmd.
4. Open Xbox Game Bar with Win + G.
5. Open Quick Buttons for Game Bar from the widget list.
6. Pin the widget if you want it to stay visible while gaming.

Changes

Custom Shortcut Labels

Custom Shortcut buttons now support user-defined labels.

Instead of showing only the keyboard shortcut, each Custom Shortcut can display a custom name.

Example:

Flashlight
(Ctrl+Shift+F)

If no label is set, the button will continue to show the shortcut text as before.

Improved Custom Shortcut Display

When a label is set, Custom Shortcut buttons now display:

• First line: custom label
• Second line: actual shortcut

This makes it easier to identify each Custom Shortcut when multiple buttons are used.

Hidden from Windows App List

Quick Buttons for Game Bar is intended to be used as an Xbox Game Bar widget rather than a normal standalone app.

Starting from this version, the app is hidden from the regular Windows app list.

Notes

The Xbox Game Bar widget icon color behavior was also investigated.

Changing the package icon assets correctly affected the Windows installed apps list icon, but it did not change the icon rendered inside Xbox Game Bar.

This suggests that the Xbox Game Bar widget icon is controlled by Game Bar’s own rendering or cache behavior.

Because of that, this version does not attempt to control the Game Bar widget icon color from the app side.

Windows 앱 목록 노출 숨김

Quick Buttons for Game Bar는 일반 앱 실행보다는 Xbox Game Bar 위젯으로 사용하는 앱입니다.

이번 버전부터 Windows 앱 목록에 일반 앱처럼 노출되지 않도록 조정했습니다.

참고 사항

Xbox Game Bar 위젯 아이콘 색상 관련 개선도 검토했으나, 패키지 아이콘 자산을 변경해도 Game Bar 위젯 아이콘에는 반영되지 않는 것을 확인했습니다.

Windows 설치 앱 목록의 아이콘은 변경되지만, Xbox Game Bar 위젯 아이콘은 Game Bar 자체 렌더링 또는 캐시 동작의 영향을 받는 것으로 보입니다.

따라서 현재 버전에서는 위젯 아이콘 색상 동작을 앱에서 직접 제어하지 않습니다.
