New
-
Site settings in the Publication Center (#852): the new Site tab holds everything about how your garden looks and works:
- theme, and light or dark;
- note display;
- navigation order;
- interface text;
- garden plugins;
- your site address.
These settings used to be spread over the plugin settings and several pop-ups. Changes show up as pending, and you publish them together with your notes from the same Publish button.
-
Follow your publishes (#852, Forestry.md): the Publishes panel shows a publish while it builds and tells you when your site is live. If a publish fails, it says why and lets you open the notes involved. It also keeps a history of recent publishes. On phones, use the new "Open publishes" command.
Improved
- A clearer Notes tab (#852):
- Before you publish, you see a summary of exactly what will be published and what will be removed from your site.
- Removing files asks first and says why each one goes. A large removal also tells you how much of your site that is, and you can review the full list.
- Progress and the result now show in the publish bar, with a "View site" link.
- Notes that are already published can no longer be ticked, so the count matches what will publish.
- The note list is locked while a publish is running.
- Works better on phones, with larger tap targets.
- Calmer publish quota (#852): the number of publishes left this month only appears once you're getting close to the limit.
