- Code can type itself out. Give a code block the new Typewriter effect
(Presenting panel) and, in the show, its code appears character by character
behind a moving cursor. Morphing from one code slide to the next keeps the
lines that stay and types only the new ones. A long snippet types faster, so
no block takes more than six seconds, and reduced motion (M) shows it all at
once. Thanks to tikurahul. - Saving a large deck is faster. Saving no longer rebuilds the file's
thumbnail preview from scratch when a slide's images are too big for it, and
does its bookkeeping after the file is written rather than before. On a deck
with large images, a save took about a third of the time in our tests.
Thanks to tikurahul. - A new document saves where it was created. A document made with New in
the Bento app on iPhone, iPad or Android, or in installed Bento, saved its
first changes into a second file and left the one you created empty. Its
first save now writes to that file. - Clicking a slide no longer makes the slide list jump. In a long deck,
clicking a thumbnail could scroll the list so a different slide ended up
under the pointer. The list now only scrolls when it needs to bring the
current slide into view. - Security: update this file. This release closes issues found in our own
review. What they were is described here once people have had time to
update.
