Disappearing messages are back, along with copying message text, a send button in Files, and App Lock fixes.
What was broken
The per-conversation disappearing timer was gone. 2.0.0 let you set a timer on each conversation. It was lost in 3.0.0 by mistake, so every message fell back to the 30-day expiry with no way to change it.
App Lock still locked the app when it shouldn't. Rotating the phone, or changing the theme or font size, rebuilt the screen and engaged the lock, and a picker that was open at the time lost its result. Share sheets and links in messages did the same, so sharing a file or tapping a link locked the app before you got back. The same happened when Android restored the app after closing it in the background.
Expired messages left their attachments behind. The message was deleted when it expired, but its attachment file stayed on the device.
Some labels lost their spacing. "You:" in the inbox and "From" and "To" in the Files tab ran into the text after them ("You:Thanks", "FromMaya") in every language.
What's new
Disappearing messages. Open a conversation's menu to set a timer: Off, 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 1 week or 4 weeks. The header shows when one is on. The setting syncs to your other devices and to the other person if they are on CarrierPony for Android 3.2.0 or later. The iPhone app does not have the timer yet.
Copy message text. Long-press a message to copy it, in 1:1 chats and in groups, for messages you sent and received. On Android 13 and later the copied text is marked sensitive, so the clipboard preview hides it.
Send from Files. The Files tab has a send button at the bottom, in place of the icon in the top bar.
Size check at pick time. A file over the 50 MB per-message limit is flagged as soon as you pick it, instead of failing later.
What's fixed
App Lock waits for you. The lock no longer engages on rotation, theme or font changes, or when Android restores the app, and pickers keep their results. Share sheets and links hold the lock the same way pickers do, and the hold ends when you are back in the app.
Expired messages take their attachments with them.
Labels are spaced correctly in all nine languages.
