V0.19.0-beta UI/UX improvements, better homescreen, cooking mode and more

Summary

This release focuses on the web app refresh: the HeroUI v3 migration, a new home screen, recipe list view improvements, early Cooklang-style ingredient references in recipe steps and cooking mode.

Fixes and Improvementsa

Web UI

  • Migrated the web app to HeroUI v3 and refreshed a large set of forms, settings screens, recipe controls, panels, buttons, cards.
  • Added a new home screen with today's planned meals for faster planned recipe discovery.
  • Added a list view for a compact view of all your recipes.
  • Reworked bottom sheets and panels with HeroUI Pro sheets, this should greatly improve the sheet reliability.

Recipes and cooking

  • Added cooking mode for recipes, with step-by-step and ingredients views.
  • Added partial Cooklang-style ingredient references in recipe steps. Ingredient references can now be rendered and linked from step text, but automatic ingredient detection and full Cooklang syntax support are not included yet. Example: Season with @salt. or Stir in @ground black pepper{2 g}.

Groceries and meal planning

  • Improved the web groceries page, grocery item interactions, store grouping, drag-and-drop behavior, recurrence display, and mini groceries panel.

Localization

  • Added Norwegian language support 🇳🇴. By @larrifax

Mobile app

For the mobile app I did some work on the groceries page. But this release was focused on the HerouiV3 migration, which was a complete rewrite of the UI basically. This will improve the consistency between the mobile and web app in the future.

Community extensions

Added Norish Quick Import Extension as a submodule reference. It is a browser extension by AfoxDesignz for quickly sending recipes from supported websites into Norish.
