Second pre-release of 2.0.0: rc1 plus the credential separation from #166 by @DonHugo. Strict mode and the weekly limits entities are unchanged, see the rc1 notes.
Security (#166)
- The auth server API key is no longer part of the URL: manual setup gets a separate password field, and the key is sent as an
X-API-Keyheader. - Existing entries are migrated automatically on first start: a
?api_key=in the URL is moved to the new field. Nothing to do on your side. - New Reconfigure step to change or clear the key without recreating the entry.
- Diagnostics download with the key redacted.
- Minimum Home Assistant version is now 2024.4.
- First test suite for the integration (62 tests), run in CI on HA 2024.4 and 2026.9.
Feedback wanted
If you run the auth server standalone (Docker, key in the URL), please confirm your entry still loads after the update. That is the one path not covered yet.
