⚠️ Compatibility Notes

• Triad-specific compositor support removed, including workspace, keyboard layout, focused-output, and output power integration
• Fixed-palette JSON passed to noctalia theme --theme-json now requires mHover and mOnHover; add these colors to palettes that omit them

🐛 Notable Fixes

• Window switcher: quick Alt+Tab and Super+Tab taps switch without leaving the overlay stuck open when keybinds use noctalia msg window-switcher hold; shortcut modifier tracking and input-method focus handoffs no longer cause incorrect activation
• Window switcher: retain handle-only Wayland windows and the capture handles needed for previews
• Network: recover when NetworkManager starts late or restarts, including re-registering the Wi-Fi credential agent
• Network: enterprise Wi-Fi credential forms scroll so password fields and the Connect button remain reachable
• Bluetooth: changing adapter power or device trust no longer blocks the shell while BlueZ responds
• Tray: avoid startup deadlocks during Secret Service probing and retain icon registration and discovery during busy startup
• Secret Service: read unlocked credentials even when cached item state still reports them as locked
• Lockscreen: monitor hotplug screencopy failures no longer disrupt the main Wayland connection
• Audio: finished UI sounds release their streams promptly so idle audio devices can suspend and PipeWire can change sample rates
• Launcher: application services survive a child process being killed by the out-of-memory handler
• Launcher: applications and Settings widget pickers sort names according to the locale, including non-English names
• Launcher: desktop-entry changes made during a scan are picked up instead of leaving stale results
• Overview: type-to-launch panels close when leaving the Niri or Umbriel overview, without closing normally opened launchers
• Dock: overflowing docks stay within the monitor and allow scrolling to off-screen items

• Media: players without track IDs no longer show the previous track's artwork on songs without a cover
• Calendar: linked event titles, times, and icons remain readable on hovered rows
• Themes & Icons: hover and on_hover use actual palette colors in widgets and templates rather than substituted colors, selected icon themes keep precedence over inherited artwork, and icon additions are detected on filesystems with coarse timestamps
• Starship: theming finds custom STARSHIP_CONFIG paths with a leading ~/ and works with large process lists
• Rendering: images fade with the intended opacity and tinted images no longer darken twice
• Performance: fewer idle wakeups and screen-time disk writes, with accurate sub-second and hourly screen-time accounting, plus faster plugin module global and builtin access

• Nix builds include the Git revision in build metadata
• Test-enabled builds now require wayland-server
• Installation instructions added for Chimera Linux
