Glass Keep 1.0.6 — Personal cloud backups

Personal cloud backups for your own notes, with Google Drive and OneDrive connections in Settings.

  • Choose automatic backups every 1, 7 or 30 days, or start a backup manually. Schedules survive server restarts and run without an open browser.
  • Keep the latest three compressed ZIP snapshots per provider. Unchanged notes do not create duplicate copies; old snapshots are removed only after a verified upload.
  • Restore downloaded ZIPs directly into Glass Keep, including archived notes, nested checklists, tags and embedded images. Legacy JSON import remains supported.
  • Back up owned notes only. Accounts, credentials, collaborator access and public links are excluded.
  • Store provider tokens encrypted with a persistent key, use browser-bound OAuth with PKCE, and show connection, scheduling and error status in English and Hindi.

Docker upgrade

Use nikunjsingh/glass-keep:1.0.6 or pull latest and recreate the container in Portainer. Both linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 images are published. Keep your existing data mount, JWT settings and TRUST_PROXY=1 for one Nginx Proxy Manager.

One-time OAuth setup is required to enable cloud connections. Register Google/Microsoft web applications and set the public URL, client IDs and client secrets on your instance. ZIP download/import works without cloud credentials. Preserve the generated cloud-backup.key beside the database. ZIPs contain readable notes, so keep cloud folders private.

Validation

22 automated tests, three browser workflows, production build, and Docker smoke checks on both architectures passed. Runtime dependency audit: zero known vulnerabilities. Provider protocol/upload/refresh tests use simulated services; live Google/Microsoft authorization needs deployment-specific OAuth credentials and was not exercised in this environment.

Standalone Android, Windows, macOS and Linux applications are outside this release.
