Glass Keep 1.0.14 — Unified versions and account-wide AI

latest releases: v1.0.16, v1.0.15

These are client apps only. You need a running Glass Keep server to use them.

One version across all platforms

Web, server, Windows, macOS and Android are all 1.0.14, including embedded application metadata. A shared version command and native build check keep future releases aligned. This release includes the visible Ask AI button and all earlier improvements.

Account-wide AI setting

  • Enable AI once for your account and it becomes available on your other devices connected to the same server. Disabling also syncs across devices.
  • Clients refresh on opening, focus and reconnecting, plus every ten seconds while visible. Offline devices keep their account's last synced setting.
  • New accounts start with AI off. Enabling still shows a resource warning, now explaining that the model downloads once on the server if it is not already cached. Phones and computers do not download model weights.
  • Existing device preferences migrate once when the account has no saved preference. Settings from other accounts cannot overwrite your choice.
  • Includes English, Hindi and French messages. Changing this setting needs an online, updated server.

Update and downloads

Update both the server and your clients to 1.0.14 for account-wide AI settings.

Docker: nikunjsingh/glass-keep:1.0.14 or nikunjsingh/glass-keep:latest, AMD64/ARM64. Pull and recreate through Portainer, keeping your existing data volume and settings. Install the updated client separately for its bundled interface.

Attached: Windows x64/ARM64 installers and portable executables, signed Android ARM64 APK, Apple Silicon/Intel macOS DMGs, and SHA-256 checksums. Android retains its existing signing identity for in-place updates. Windows installers do not have a commercial publisher certificate; portable clients require WebView2. Mac clients require macOS 13+, use an ad-hoc signature and are not Apple-notarized; first launch may require Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

Verification

Web/native browser tests verify that a clean native client inherits the account's web AI setting, enabled/disabled changes propagate, and existing search, answers, cancellation and offline editing work. API tests cover account isolation, defaults, validation and legacy migration races. Both frontend builds pass; packaged Docker and native build checks verify release artifacts.
