v4.1.61: Kobo gets your newest saved place again

A Kobo gets your newest saved place again on libraries that had stored two places for the same book.

docker pull ghcr.io/new-usemame/calibre-web-nextgen:v4.1.61

Before you upgrade

  • On the first start, the server tidies the Kobo reading data in app.db: where a book has two saved places (or two reading statistics rows), it keeps the one received last and removes the other, removes saved places that no longer belong to a book, and adds a unique index so a second copy is refused from then on. It runs once and does nothing on a database without duplicates. A backup of app.db before upgrading is a good habit as always.
  • The KOReader plugin is unchanged and stays at 4.1.57.

Fixed

  • A book with two saved Kobo places sends the newest one again. Some databases held two saved places for one book, and the server then read one of them at random, so a place saved by another device could be held back from the Kobo. Reported by @lukerajah (#2783).
