KOReader no longer times out saving your place when Hardcover sync is on, the New UI Authors and Series lists load a page at a time, and failed note and highlight changes in the web reader can be retried.
docker pull ghcr.io/new-usemame/calibre-web-nextgen:v4.1.60Before you upgrade
- There are no database changes.
- The KOReader plugin is unchanged and stays at 4.1.57.
Fixed
- KOReader no longer reports a stored reading as "the server took too long" when Hardcover sync is on. Each matched reading from KOReader or a Kobo waited for several Hardcover requests before the server answered, 2.7 to 5 seconds on a Raspberry Pi, past the plugin's 2 second limit. The reading is now saved and answered first, and Hardcover gets it a moment later. Found and measured by @sgreadly (#2775).
- The New UI Authors and Series lists load in pages as you scroll. Name and minimum book filters run on the server, so large libraries open faster (#2720).
- A failed note edit or removal in the web reader can be retried. The note box stays open with your text, the reader says the save failed, and pressing Save or Remove again sends the same change (#2778).
- A failed highlight removal or colour change in the web reader can be retried. The reader says the change was not saved and reopens the menu on that highlight (#2779).
- A colon in a title survives in the Send to eReader attachment name. With the attachment filename template set,
Dune: Messiahused to arrive asDune_ Messiah. Other unsafe characters are still replaced. Reported by @LightSBM, fixed by @sgreadly (#2442, #2650).
