A small release: publication dates show the day you saved in time zones west of UTC, text filled in by automatic metadata fetch now reaches the book file, settings survive moving between versions, and Simplified Chinese is complete.
docker pull ghcr.io/new-usemame/calibre-web-nextgen:v4.1.50Before you upgrade
- Nothing to do. No database migration in this release, and the KOReader plugin stays at 4.1.48.
Added
- A square SVG of the app icon for dashboards. Homepage, Heimdall and similar dashboards can use
/static/CalibreWebNextgen-square.svg, which loads without signing in. Contributed by @Retrograde-i486 in #2616.
Fixed
- The book page shows the publication date you saved. In time zones west of UTC it showed the day before, and a year-only date showed as 31 December of the year before. Reported by @gueland in #2634.
- Metadata filled in by automatic fetch is written into the book file. When fetch on ingest changed only text (description, publisher, published date, rating and the rest), the change stayed in the library and never reached the file, and a Kobo that had already synced the book was not told. A fetched cover already did both; text now does too. Contributed by @splitsec2 in #2612.
- Switching versions no longer deletes settings. Each start removed settings the running version did not know, so trying another version and coming back erased them. They are now kept (#2549).
- Simplified Chinese is complete. About 2,900 empty or unconfirmed entries are translated, with a first proofreading pass. Contributed by @jkluiopopop in #2604.
