Update now:

docker pull ghcr.io/new-usemame/calibre-web-nextgen:latest

Or pin this exact build: ghcr.io/new-usemame/calibre-web-nextgen:v4.1.13.

Highlights

  • Reloading metadata no longer renames your books. Reload metadata now reads PDF, FB2, comic, audio, EPUB, and KEPUB files instead of only EPUBs, and applies just the details a file actually contains — a file with no title or author leaves your curated values alone instead of renaming the book after its filename. Uploading a PDF also picks up the author stored inside the file. (#877)
  • KOReader highlights and notes sync back into your library and appear in the Highlights list on each book's page, surviving edits from more than one device. (#699)
  • Two more metadata sources. Opt-in Goodreads and bol.com providers help find results for English and Dutch books. Both are off by default and need no API key. (#303, #315)

Also in this release

  • Save any advanced search as your library's default view, following you across devices. (#498)
  • Book details and the sortable table show when each book was added and last changed. (#878)
  • Edit a book's title directly in the sortable table, with keyboard-friendly Save and Cancel. (#783)
  • The new in-browser reader keeps your font, size, margins, line height, and page theme with your account, across browsers and the classic and new interfaces.
  • Book grids load a set number of complete rows at any cover density, and Discover honors the random-book count your server sets.
  • Build moving-date smart shelves (Publication Date, Date Added) in the new interface's rule builder. (#467)
  • The Fetch Metadata Keys panel shows Hardcover as Configured when its token comes from an environment variable or a secret file, and Hardcover auto-fetch runs now show on the Stats & Activity page. (#896, #876)
  • The classic book page's favorite star updates the moment you click it. (#880)

Platform install and switch guides now cover Synology, Unraid, Portainer, TrueNAS SCALE, QNAP, Dockge, and Docker Compose (#527, #843, #765).
