What to Watch on Plex (WTWP) v2026.09.26
Main Changes:
- Added new Session Mode: Timed + Target (ideal for larger groups)
- Added option to limit session creation to Plex users and/or password protect it
- Users can now cast a blank "no preference" vote on voting stages.
- Added Runtime question stage
- Added Minimum Rating question stage
- Question stages (currently Genre, Era, Language, Runtime and Minimum Rating) are now optional and can be toggled off individually in settings.
Various QOL improvements/fixes:
- Fixed typecheck errors
- Fix tie breaker animation would sometimes end on 2 or 3 times the same poster in a row, making it look rigged
- Fix Auto Refresh toggle getting disabled in certain situations when updating other settings
- Session host can now choose to end voting stage even when not everyone has voted yet. (in case a user has disconnected for example). The host must vote before they can continue.
- Filtering of watched items for users logged in with Plex is now optional.
- Added unsaved changes warning to settings pages
- Fixed voting page limitation of 6
- Fixed issue where collection selector would not show when starting a session after container update without visiting admin panel
- Started sessions are now locked from joining
- Added "Hard Filter Exclusions" setting. (Hard filtering exclusions may starve options when swiping with large groups)
- Improved Soft Filtering logic. Preferences and exclusions will 'weigh' more when they're set by more people.
